The BabyPlanet Endangered Species line of lightweight strollers was conceived
and designed with the dual purpose of creating a safe, sturdy, and feature-rich
stroller while also striving to raise awareness about animals on the verge of
extinction. In support of this mission, a portion of the proceeds of all Endangered
Species Strollers is donated to organizations dedicated to preserving these
animals and their habitats for future generations to enjoy.
The Lemur Leaf Frog is found in Colombia, Costa
Rica, and Panama. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland
forests, subtropical or tropical moist basins, rivers, freshwater marshes, and
intermittent freshwater marches.
Lemur Leaf Frogs are threatened by habitat loss
and chytridiomycosis, an infectious fungus disease of amphibians. The spread
of chytridiomycosis and the subsequent declines of amphibian populations has
been dramatically expedited by global warming.
